Data Request Policy

Data Request Policy

Introduction and Purpose

This Data Request Policy describes how Mubdie Ltd (a UK‑registered technology and innovation company, No. 16516230, operator of mubdie.net) receives, evaluates, and responds to requests for subscriber or account data from law enforcement, courts, or third parties. The policy balances legal compliance, subscriber privacy, and operational clarity.

Scope

This policy applies to requests for any data held by Mubdie concerning our customers, including account registration data, WHOIS data, access logs, billing information, and any content stored within Mubdie systems.

Types of Requests

  1. Legal Data Requests: Formal legal process such as subpoenas, court orders, search warrants, civil investigative demands, or other lawful process required by domestic or international cooperation channels (e.g., MLAT for cross‑border requests).

  2. Preservation Requests: Requests to preserve account records pending formal legal process. Preservation requests must identify the account(s), the requesting agency, the relevant investigation or proceedings, confirm that steps are being taken to obtain lawful process, and provide valid contact details.

  3. Emergency Requests: Only for imminent threats of serious bodily harm or death. Mubdie will respond to emergency requests when it reasonably believes immediate action is needed to prevent harm.

Minimum Information Required in a Request

To process a request efficiently, include at minimum:

  • Subscriber’s full name and email associated with the account; and

  • Domain name, username and/or relevant IP address(es). Note: IP‑only requests are often insufficient; include domain/username if possible. Mubdie may request supporting documentation tying the request to active litigation, official investigation, or a court order.

How to Send a Request

Send all requests to the Legal Team at: Mubdie Ltd — Legal Department Email: datarequests@mubdie.net [Insert legal postal address for Mubdie Ltd] If you do not receive an email confirmation within a reasonable time, resend via an alternate delivery method to ensure receipt.

Internal Handling Procedure

  • Logging and tracking: Each request is logged with a timestamp and assigned an internal tracking number.

  • Legal review: Requests are reviewed by Mubdie’s legal/compliance team to confirm validity and scope.

  • Subscriber notice: We normally notify the affected subscriber unless prohibited by law or court order.

  • Disclosure/Denial: Where lawful process is presented, data within the scope will be disclosed. If a request lacks proper authority, we will decline and explain why or request additional documentation.

Types of Data We May Provide

  • Non‑content records: name, email, account creation timestamps, billing info, IP logs, and account metadata — typically producible via subpoena or equivalent.

  • Content: stored website files, email content, or other content will only be produced pursuant to a valid search warrant or equivalent judicial authorization issued by a properly‑jurisdictional authority.

Emergency Response

For verified emergencies involving imminent physical harm, Mubdie will act quickly after a rapid legal/operational evaluation and will document the rationale and authority for disclosure.

Subscriber Notification

Mubdie will notify subscribers of requests for their data unless notification is legally prohibited (e.g., gag orders) or a preservation order expressly prevents notice.

Fees and Cost Recovery

Mubdie may recover reasonable costs for responding to requests as permitted by law and charge additional fees for unusually burdensome or technical productions. Fees will be communicated and agreed before extensive processing.

Record Retention and Privacy Compliance

Mubdie keeps logs of received requests, disclosure actions, and timestamps for audit and compliance. Data handling and disclosure follow applicable data protection laws (including GDPR where applicable).
